Azúcar Con Aché (ACA) is an exciting multicultural ensemble of women based in the San Francisco Bay Area who play salsa and Latin Jazz style music. The band name translates to “Sweetness with Powerful Blessings”, and the songs are performed in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The ACA sound combines a spicy, creative mix of original compositions with tasty arrangements of standard tunes. Their musical backgrounds are diverse and draw from traditions originating in Africa, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, New York, Cuba, and California.

At ease performing in a variety of settings that include private parties, corporate celebrations, and community gatherings, ACA has recently been featured at various Bay Area events, including Yoshi’s Oakland Jazz Club, Fabulosa Fest at Walker Creek Ranch, the Montclair Women’s Cultural Arts Club, Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, the 2014 Fillmore Jazz Festival in San Francisco, Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda, Women’s Weekend 2.0 at the Russian River in Monte Rio, and the Marriott Hotel in San Francisco for the Chicana Latina Foundation Fundraiser event (that includes impromptu jamming with Sheila E—Check it out on the Azucar con Ache Facebook site!)

Their enticing rhythms, stellar talent, and high-energy delivery will lift your spirits and cause your body to get into dancing mode before you know it. We invite you to enjoy!!!
